Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Peel and chop the turnips and carrots into uniform pieces about 1-2 inches.
  • In a large bowl, toss the chopped turnips and carrots with olive oil, salt, and lemon-pepper seasoning.

Cooking

  • Spread the seasoned vegetables evenly on a baking sheet.
  • Roast in the oven for about 30 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • For a crispier finish, raise the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C) during the last 5 minutes.
