  • 2 tablespoons Honey To balance the spice.

Preparing the Cajun Butter Sauce

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic to the melted butter and cook until fragrant.
  • Stir in honey and cajun seasoning, mixing well.
  • Simmer the sauce for a few minutes to let the flavors meld.

Cooking the Salmon

  • Season both sides of the salmon fillets with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  • Place the salmon skin-side down in the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes.
  • Flip the salmon and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until done.

Sautéing the Shrimp

  • In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add more olive oil.
  • Add the shrimp and season with Cajun spices.
  • Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.

Combining and Serving the Dish

  • Gently place the seared salmon on a serving plate.
  • Top the salmon with sautéed shrimp and drizzle with Cajun butter sauce.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

For healthier options, consider grilling the salmon and shrimp instead of sautéing it. Serve with garlic bread and sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.
