Ingredients
  

For the Pancakes

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

For the Sausage

  • 8 pieces breakfast sausage patties

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and melted butter.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the sausage patties until browned.
  • In the same skillet, pour batter to form pancakes. When bubbles form on top, it’s time to flip the pancakes.

Serving

  • Serve pancakes warm with sausage and drizzle with maple syrup.

Notes

Make sure to use a non-stick skillet to avoid pancakes sticking. Don't overmix the batter; a few lumps are okay! Keep the cooked pancakes warm in the oven while you make the rest. Feel free to adjust the thickness of the batter with a little more milk if necessary. For a twist, try adding chocolate chips or blueberries to the pancake batter. You can also use turkey or plant-based sausage for a lighter option.
