Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shrimp (peeled and deveined) Fresh or frozen
  • 8 pieces Tortillas Corn or flour
  • 2 tbsp Oil Olive oil or any neutral choice

Taco Spices

  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Cumin
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper

Toppings

  • 1 piece Fresh lime For squeezing over shrimp
  • 2 cups Shredded cabbage For crunch and color
  • 1 piece Avocado For creaminess
  • 1 cup Cheese Cotija or feta cheese optional
  • 1 cup Salsa Your choice of salsa

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat the shrimp dry to help them crisp up.
  • In a large bowl, toss the shrimp with taco spices until evenly coated.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
  • Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until they turn pink.
  • Remove from heat and squeeze half a lime over the cooked shrimp.

Assembly

  • Warm the tortillas over the burner for bonus points.
  • Wrap each tortilla around the shrimp and layer with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Feel free to double the recipe for a large crowd. You can also prep toppings and sauce ahead of time and cook shrimp just before serving.
