Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (10 ounces) Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups biscuit baking mix (such as Bisquick)

Seasonings

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Garnish (optional)

  • Chopped fresh parsley or green onions For garnish

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground sausage, cream cheese, drained Rotel, shredded cheddar, biscuit baking mix, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.

Baking

  • Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  • Allow to cool briefly, then garnish with parsley or green onions if desired.

Notes

These bites are best served warm with dipping sauces like ranch or salsa. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven before serving.
