  • 2 pieces Boneless chicken breasts Main protein source
  • 9 ounces Creamy cheese tortellini Base carbohydrate
  • 3 cloves Garlic, finely chopped Flavor enhancer
  • 14.5 ounces Diced tomatoes, preferably canned Moisture and flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil for sautéing Cooking medium
  • 1 teaspoon Your choice of spices (Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper) Flavor profile

Cooking Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  • When the oil is hot, add chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add chopped garlic and cook for about 1 minute.
  • Add the tortellini and chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer.
  • Cover and cook the tortellini until tender, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Add the chicken back into the skillet, mixing thoroughly.
  • Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  • Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

To enhance flavor, use fresh ingredients and don’t overcrowd the pan while cooking chicken. You can replace chicken with plant-based proteins for vegetarian diets.
