Ingredients
  

  • 2 –2.5 lbs chuck roast or stew beef
  • 1 packet onion soup mix or homemade equivalent
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 oz egg noodles or other preferred noodles
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch optional, for thickening
  • Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Place beef into the slow cooker. Sprinkle with onion soup mix, garlic powder, and a bit of salt and pepper.
  • Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4–5 hours, until beef is fork-tender.
  • Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks directly in the slow cooker.
  • Stir in egg noodles. Cover and cook on high for an additional 20–30 minutes, or until noodles are tender.
  • (Optional) Mix cornstarch with a little water and stir in to thicken the sauce if needed.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
