Slow Cooker Beef and Noodles

- 2 –2.5 lbs chuck roast or stew beef
- 1 packet onion soup mix or homemade equivalent
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 12 oz egg noodles or other preferred noodles
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch optional, for thickening
- Fresh parsley for garnish optional
Place beef into the slow cooker. Sprinkle with onion soup mix, garlic powder, and a bit of salt and pepper.
Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4–5 hours, until beef is fork-tender.
Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks directly in the slow cooker.
Stir in egg noodles. Cover and cook on high for an additional 20–30 minutes, or until noodles are tender.
(Optional) Mix cornstarch with a little water and stir in to thicken the sauce if needed.
Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
