  • 1 packet corned beef spice packet Adds seasoning and depth.
  • 4 cups beef broth For moisture and flavor.

Vegetables

  • 4 medium potatoes Provides heartiness.
  • 1 small head cabbage Add towards the end for texture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse the corned beef under cold water to remove excess brine.
  • Place the brisket fat side up in the slow cooker.
  • Pour in about four cups of beef broth.
  • Add the corned beef spice packet.
  • Layer the carrots and potatoes on top of the brisket.

Cooking

  • Cover and cook on low for 8 to 9 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.
  • Add cabbage in the final 1 hour of cooking.

Serving

  • Remove the brisket and vegetables from the slow cooker.
  • Slice the corned beef against the grain and serve with carrots, potatoes, and cabbage.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
