Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Breading

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten

Frying Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix together the mozzarella, sharp cheddar, and cream cheese until well combined.
  • Form small balls with the cheese mixture.
  • Dredge each ball in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.

Cooking

  • Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  • Fry the cheese balls in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to restore crispiness. You can customize the cheese mixture by adding cooked bacon bits or finely diced vegetables.
