Ingredients
  

  • 1 can 21 oz cherry pie filling
  • 1 can 20 oz crushed pineapple (undrained)
  • 1 box 15.25 oz yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • Optional: chopped nuts e.g., pecans or walnuts, shredded coconut

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Dump the cherry pie filling and crushed pineapple (with juice) into the dish and stir to combine.
  • Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the fruit mixture.
  • Drizzle melted butter over the entire top (do not stir).
  • Optionally, sprinkle chopped nuts or shredded coconut on top.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  • Serve warm, optionally with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
