  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • Stir in the buttermilk until fully combined.

Mixing Dough

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Gently fold in the chopped pecans, ensuring they are evenly distributed.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
