Ingredients

For the Pie

  • 1 piece unbaked 9-inch pie crust Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves For deeper flavor, toast them before adding

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  • Sprinkle the chocolate chips and pecans evenly over the unbaked pie crust.
  • Pour the syrup mixture over the chocolate chips and pecans in the crust.

Baking

  • Bake for 50 to 60 minutes. If the edges of the crust brown too quickly, cover them with foil.
  • Let the pie cool completely before slicing it.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Ensure the pie crust is well-chilled to prevent sogginess.
