- 1 pound Italian or French bread loaf
- ½ cup 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic finely minced
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
- ⅛ teaspoon sea salt
- Optional: ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese or ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- For garnish: Additional parsley or chives
Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 425°F (218°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Prepare Bread: Slice the bread loaf in half lengthwise and place both halves cut side up on the prepared baking sheet.
Make Garlic Butter: In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and sea salt. Mix until well combined.
Spread Mixture: Evenly spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread.
