Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • ¼ cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti optional, if served with pasta
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • If serving with pasta, cook pasta according to package directions, drain, and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  • Pour in wine (or broth) and lemon juice, scraping up bits from the pan. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  • Stir in the remaining tablespoon of butter and season with salt and pepper.
  • Toss cooked pasta with the shrimp and sauce, or serve shrimp alone topped with fresh parsley.
