Ingredients
  

Banana Bread Brownie Base:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas about 2–3 bananas
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Frosting (optional):

  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract, mix well.
  • Stir in mashed bananas.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until combined.
  • Pour batter into prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool completely before adding frosting (if using).

Frosting (optional):

  • In a small saucepan, melt butter.
  • Remove from heat and whisk in powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Spread over cooled brownies and let set before slicing.
