Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium white onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • Fresh cilantro chopped (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Prepare the Beef Mixture: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until it begins to brown. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion becomes translucent and the beef is fully browned.
  • Season: Stir in the ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the spices are evenly distributed throughout the meat.
  • Warm the Tortillas: While the beef is cooking, warm the corn tortillas on a skillet or directly over a flame until they are pliable and slightly charred.
  • Assemble the Tacos: Spoon the seasoned beef mixture onto each tortilla. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice.
  • Serve: Serve the tacos immediately, accompanied by additional toppings such as diced onions, salsa, or avocado slices if desired.
