Preparation

  • Peel and trim the ends of each turnip.
  • Cut turnips into ½-inch thick sticks.
  • In a bowl, toss turnip sticks with olive oil and seasonings.

Cooking (Air Fryer)

  • Place the seasoned turnip fries in a single layer in the fryer basket.
  • Cook for about 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even browning.

Cooking (Oven)

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange seasoned turnip fries on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes, flipping them halfway to ensure even cooking.

Notes

For optimal crispness, pat fries dry after cutting and do not overcrowd the air fryer or baking tray. Store leftover fries in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
