  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 burger buns
  • toppings lettuce, tomato, cheese, and pickles

Cooking

  • Combine the beef, pork, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce in a large bowl and mix gently until just combined.
  • Divide into four portions and shape each into a patty a little wider than the bun. Chill briefly.
  • Preheat the grill to medium high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  • Grill the patties for about 6 to 7 minutes on each side, turning once, until a thermometer inserted from the side reaches 160 degrees F.
  • Serve on toasted buns with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Do not overwork the meat or the burgers will be tough. Use ground meat with some fat for juicier burgers. Store cooked patties for 3 to 4 days and reheat to 165 degrees F. Nutrition is an estimate and does not include toppings.
