Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 450 grams lean ground beef Use lean for a healthier option.
  • 28 grams taco seasoning
  • 120 milliliters water
  • 6 large flour tortillas Wrap in a damp paper towel before microwaving.
  • 450 grams shredded Mexican cheese blend Can substitute with other types of cheese.
  • 120 milliliters pico de gallo salsa Use fresh for best flavor.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large pan over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned. Drain any excess fat for a leaner texture, then return the beef to the pan.
  • Add taco seasoning and water to the cooked beef. Stir thoroughly, breaking the meat into small crumbles using a spatula.
  • Bring the seasoned beef mixture to a simmer. Cook gently for 5–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is thickened. Remove from heat.
  • Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave for 15–20 seconds until pliable.
  • Spoon the hot beef mixture onto each tortilla. Top with the Mexican cheese blend and fresh pico de gallo. Fold in the sides and roll tightly into a wrap shape.
  • Wrap each filled tortilla in a damp paper towel. Microwave for another 15 seconds to melt the cheese and soften the tortilla further.
  • Unwrap and serve immediately while the filling is hot and the cheese is gooey.

Notes

Serve warm, enjoy them on their own or with extra salsa and sour cream on the side. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
