Ingredients
  

Fudge Base

  • 2 cups sugar Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed brown sugar
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter Cut into pieces
  • cup evaporated milk Canned evaporated milk

Flavorings

  • 1 cup chopped apples Chopped into small pieces for easier mixing
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Pure vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugars, butter, and evaporated milk.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Continue boiling for 5 minutes without stirring.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the chopped apples, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased pan and let it cool completely.
  • Once cooled, cut into squares and enjoy.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. For longer storage, place in the refrigerator, separating layers with parchment paper. You can add nuts for crunch or substitute chocolate chips instead of apples for variation.
