  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil For stir-frying

Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon Chinese five spice Provides authenticity and depth
  • 1 teaspoon chili oil Optional, for a spicy kick

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and prepare the beef by marinating it in soy sauce, cornstarch, garlic, and ginger for 15 minutes.
  • Cut the broccoli into florets and set aside.

Cooking

  • Heat the oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until it is half-cooked.
  • Add the broccoli florets and continue to stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is bright and slightly crunchy.
  • Add more soy sauce and Chinese five spice to taste before serving.

Notes

Serve with steamed rice, lo mein, or chow mein. For a spicy version, drizzle with chili oil or add sriracha.
