  • 1 cup pretzel sticks For saltiness and crunch.

Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • ½ cup granulated sugar For sweetness.
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon Adjust to taste for added flavor.
  • ¼ cup butter Melted, to help coat the mix.

Preparation

  • Gather all ingredients and preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the Chex cereal, mixed nuts, and pretzel sticks.

Creating the Cinnamon Sugar Coating

  • In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat, then stir in the granulated sugar and cinnamon until well mixed.
  • Remove from heat and pour the cinnamon sugar mixture over the dry ingredients.

Mixing and Baking

  • Toss the mixture gently to ensure everything is evenly coated with the cinnamon sugar.
  • Spread the mix on a heavy-duty sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to prevent burning and ensure even crisping.

Cooling and Storing

  • Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool on the pan.
  • Break up any clumps and store in an airtight container.
