Ingredients
  

For the Mango Mojito

  • 4 tbsp mango purée Use ready sweetened puree or make your own from fresh mango.
  • 1 piece lime Juice of the lime.
  • 10-12 leaves fresh mint Use fresh mint leaves.
  • 4 oz light rum Adjust the type of rum for varied flavors.
  • oz simple syrup Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • to taste ml soda water Top off the drink with soda water.
  • as needed cups ice cubes For serving.

Preparation

  • If you’re making your own, add the chunks of 1 fresh mango into a blender and blend until smooth.
  • In a glass, muddle the mint leaves and lime juice together until fragrant. Add the mango purée, rum, and simple syrup, then stir to combine.
  • Alternatively, in a cocktail shaker, muddle the mint leaves and lime juice together, then add the mango purée, rum, and simple syrup. Fill with ice, shake well, and strain into a glass filled with ice.
  • Top off the drink with soda water.

Serving

  • Serve your Mango Mojito in a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a slice of lime or mango.

Storage

  • Store leftover Mango Mojito in the refrigerator without the soda water. Add fresh soda water when ready to enjoy again.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe mango for the best flavor. Muddle mint gently to release flavor without tearing. Experiment with different rums for variety.
