  • ½ cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion yellow or white onion
  • 2 tablespoons snipped parsley fresh parsley preferred
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground sage
  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef lean ground beef recommended

Glaze Ingredients

  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the eggs and milk. Stir in the bread crumbs until well mixed.
  • Add the onion, parsley, salt, sage, and ground beef. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf on a baking sheet or transfer it to a loaf pan.

Baking

  • Bake for about 50 minutes.
  • For the glaze, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, and dry mustard. Spread it on top of the meatloaf.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until heated through.

Notes
