Ingredients
  

For the Hummus

  • 1 can 1 can of chickpeas (15oz) (cooked or canned)
  • ½ cup 1/2 a cup of tahini
  • ¼ cup 1/4 cup of lemon juice
  • 1-2 cloves 1-2 garlic cloves or garlic seasoning to taste
  • Water As needed for texture
  • ¼ tsp 1/4 tsp of cumin
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp 1/4-1/2 tsp of salt Adjust to taste
  • 2-3 tbsp 2-3 tbsp Olive oil For blending and drizzling
  • Sumac (or paprika for serving) For garnish

Preparation

  • Add tahini and lemon juice to a food processor and blend until smooth. Add water if necessary. The texture should be smooth and creamy.
  • Add salt, cumin, garlic, and blend until smooth.
  • Then, add chickpeas, olive oil, and blend again. Add water and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Plate up, add a drizzle of olive oil, and sprinkle sumac or paprika.

Notes

Store leftover hummus in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Stir in a little water or olive oil if it thickens.
