Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Linguine pasta Other pasta shapes can be used, just adjust the cooking time.
  • 1 lb Ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • 3 tablespoons Butter For sautéing garlic.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil For browning the beef.
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • ½ cup Chicken broth Can substitute with beef or vegetable broth.
  • 1 cup Heavy cream For the creamy sauce.
  • ½ cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Instructions

Cooking Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine pasta and cook until just al dente according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Browning Beef

  • While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and crumbled, about 6-8 minutes. Transfer the cooked beef to a plate and set aside.

Making Sauce

  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant and just golden.
  • Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any flavorful browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let the broth simmer for a couple of minutes.
  • Lower the heat to medium-low and stir in the heavy cream. Once it begins to warm, add both the Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses, along with the Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Stir well until the sauce thickens and the cheeses melt into a smooth, creamy base.

Combining

  • Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet and stir to coat it in the sauce. Add the drained linguine and gently toss everything together.

Serving

  • Plate the pasta, then finish with a sprinkling of chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
