Editorial Policy
This page explains how Epic Meal Recipes creates, checks, and corrects its recipes, and how we use AI. Last updated: October 2026.
Our standards
- Every recipe uses exact amounts, times, and temperatures so the result is repeatable.
- Ingredients are named generically instead of by brand whenever possible.
- We do not publish fake ratings, fake reviews, or claims that a dish was taste tested when it was not.
- The written ingredient list and steps are always the source of truth, not the image.
How recipes are created
Recipes are real home cooking recipes, based on established methods and common ingredient ratios, and Savannah Blake cooks and tries recipes at home before sharing them. Each one is written in our own words, with ingredients, steps, timing, and storage notes that agree with each other. Before publishing we check servings against pan size, salt against the other salty ingredients, cooking time against the thickness of the food, and nutrition numbers against the ingredient list.
How we use AI
AI tools support our writing and editing, and the images on the site are AI generated illustrations that show what the finished dish should look like. A human editor decides what is published and corrects errors reported by readers. Your finished dish may look different, so always follow the written amounts and steps. The portrait on our About page is an illustrated avatar.
Food safety
We follow widely used food safety guidance: 165 degrees F for poultry and reheated leftovers, 160 degrees F for ground meat and egg dishes, and 145 degrees F for fish and whole cuts of beef, pork, and lamb. Leftover storage times are given on each recipe. These notes are general guidance, so follow the rules that apply to your household and any health needs.
Nutrition estimates
Nutrition information is an estimate based on the listed ingredients and amounts. It changes with brands, portion sizes, and substitutions, and it is not medical or dietary advice.
Sources and credits
When a recipe is based on an identifiable source, we credit it. When we link to outside guidance, we choose public sources such as the FDA and university extension services.
Advertising and independence
This site is supported by advertising. Advertising does not decide which recipes we publish or how we write them. See our Disclaimer and Privacy Policy for details.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, tell us through the Contact Us page with the recipe link and the detail you mean. We review each report and update the recipe when a correction is needed. Learn more about the site on our About page.
